A personally interesting fact regarding SuperStudio’s Radical Design, is that their projects were not “really” built – meaning, they were not materialized in 1:1 scale, as fully functioning architecture, even though they were realized (to a certain extant,) in those charming collages. These collages brought forward the imaginary ideas; they provided a speculative language to open questions concerning our society and the ever-changing environment.
Eventually, even as 2D images, these ideas are widely known; in a way, they were brought to life, through a very specific medium & style, and definitely had an impact on a generation of designers and thinkers. So, yes, absolutely, ‘Collage’, pasting things together is my current paradise of imagination; as a practical technique as well as an abstract ideology.
